What Documents Do I Need For Proof Of Income?

If you connect to Open Banking during your Keysafe credit check at the start of your application, this may present your most recent 3 months of income to us. If not, then we will require the following information for proof of income:

Employed?

  • Paid Monthly: Last three months’ of payslips, showing your name and payment amount.
  • Paid Weekly: All payslips from the last three months, showing your name and payment amount.

Please note we cannot take any bonuses, overtime or cash-in-hand paid jobs, into account when calculating affordability.

Self Employed?

  • Last three months payslips or last three month bank statements showing your monthly income.  We may ask for recent invoices and the nature of your self-employment.
  • Last year’s Tax Return

We will be unable to be your guarantor based on less than 3 months of self-employment income only.

In receipt of Benefits and/or Child Maintenance?

  • Universal Credit Statements for the last 3 months or award letter detailing the benefit and the amount you have been awarded.
  • For all other benefits, we will require your last 3 months bank statements in full showing the benefits being paid to you.

Please note that we cannot take informal arrangements for child maintenance into account. You would need to provide the legal document detailing the payments due to you.

Please note: We do not accept screenshots of online banking for bank statements.
